Our Principles

Every new student gets a free 20 minute introductory session. An introductory session includes an informal meeting where the student and tutor discuss current performance level, learning style, goals, strengths, weaknesses and benchmarks (for long term tutoring). They will review preferred methods of communication and payment before scheduling the first full tutoring session.

Sessions are customizable. Session lengths may vary, and they usually begin by recapping the previous week and identifying goals for the session. The bulk of the session is spent learning new information or reinforcing content. Discuss with your tutor about ways to vary your instruction or any requests you have for each session.

We believe in creating a long term connection with a student. Most education services focus on a single goal or assignment. Just Learning Ally pairs you with somebody who can guide you through multiple services if or when they are needed for your academic journey. If we cannot provide you the service or program you need, we will help find one that works for you.
